Contemporary calligraphy ink 'stone' made from durable ABS Resin for the Japanese market. Excellent quality. Reverse with non-slip grip strip.

Ink can be ground and mixed on the slope or can be used directly with ready made bottled ink. Brush rests neatly against the stone.

Functions in exactly the same manner as a traditional inkstone, but has the advantage of being lighter - useful when you want to be on the move with your calligraphy kit. The construction also allows an additional ink well on the reverse. Useful when you wish to use a second colour of ink without contamination.
