Rice seed box - Large Spherical Box, 28cm high, Lanna style, Reddish Brown.

Dimensions approx 28cm high, 24cm wide and 24cm deep

The design is in the northern Lanna style - heavily influenced by Burma.

This lidded box is made from a lacquered circular bamboo frame, woven onto a square wooden base. Made using traditional Thai craft techniques.

Although called rice seed boxes, such boxes are used to store not only food products, but serve as general storage vessels.

A totally hand crafted product so some small imperfections should be expected.
