Made from earthenware - a tough, durable kind of clay pottery, these are genuine Thai mortar and wooden pestles, of the same kind used in Thai kitchens. Perfect for crushing herbs and spices. Note: these are hand thrown pots - so sizes will vary slightly and surface imperfections should be expected. These are authentic asian cookware items.

This is a 100% authentic Thai cookery item, and is strong and durable. Exactly what Thai (and Laos) chefs use. Not a Western copy and as recommended as the ideal size for most Thai cooking by Nuke (who is a tutor in Thai cuisine).
